“Sure little Lassie, the little ones are dancing
about, calling you to rise with the sun.”

I twisted into the comforter and tried to block out
the light of the day. “How about the wee little people do
my work for me today. I’ll just lie here and let the
little fellows weave their wee bits o’ magic.”

“Come on now, you have to go wake up Lea, your turn.”

I protested, “Ah, now laddie, go on now, tell the wee
leprechauns to wake up the lovely lassie, feed her, and get
her to school.”

Lea and I did all of our morning preparation without
