was unable to attend the center meeting. This was a rare
occasion, and I felt out of since as my car carried its
cargo to L.A. Leela and Shaun and I had decided to stay in
Westwood two nights, rather than drive back and forth to
attend meetings.

So we, less one friend and our magic VW truck,
traveled north towards our rendezvous with the night. As
happened on our sojourns, time shifted. Even though we got
stuck in some heavy L.A. traffic, our Blazer pulled into
the Ebell Theater’s parking lot with time to spare. We
phoned the hotel to say we would arrive very late, probably
in the wee hours of the morning. We got some bottled water
at the little corner store, and walked through the theatre
doors at 8:00 that night.
