spoke. Juggling my briefcase and books I stepped into my
classroom, with the principal one pace behind me. I
flipped on the lights as he spoke, “I can’t remember his
name, I hear he is trouble. Always has been.”

I giggled, “Well, that narrows it down to most of my
kids. What happened?”

“A pretty serious fight. This kid is going on
suspension, probably expulsion.”

As he spoke I had a clear image of his office. I knew
who I would find there. I asked, “Well, how do you want me
to handle this? My class will start in a few minutes.”
